Introducing the newest update to Daz Studio: Studio 4.14

This update to Daz Studio brings you the Filament PBR Renderer, a new viewport for Studio and render engine that makes astounding scenes at an amazing new speed. With advancements to the Animation Timeline and Genesis 8 & 3 animation capabilities as well as enhanced Iray compatibility with support for the NVIDIA 3000 series cards, Studio 4.14 is a updated version that’s focused on animation, developing 3D capabilities and higher realism in renders, even if users don’t have the most powerful system.

The Filament PBR Viewport and Render Engine

The Filament PBR renderer uses physically based rendering, a rendering method that more accurately represents materials, especially with respect to lighting, when compared to more traditional or other real-time renderers. Accuracy in lighting is achieved by a separation of materials and lighting that allows for higher realism in lighting based off of materials/lighting interactions.

And it works so fast. Filament gives you high quality renders in a fraction of the time it takes other render engines, so you don’t have to wait all day to see the results of your 3D labor. Filament works just as fast and just as well with older systems and systems that don’t quite have as many CPUs/GPUs as other render engines require to work well and quickly. Now hobbyists and beginning 3D Artists can create without spending a ton on expensive software and equipment.

With the Filament viewport and Daz Animations, you get to see animations and any adjustments that you make to your scene in near real time, and finalize renders and animations in mere minutes, instead of hours.
